One || Two || Three. Name: Kamau. Meaning: Silent Warrior Breed: Border Terrier. Age: Four. Gender: Male Pelt Color: Tan. Eye Color: Brown. Markings: None. Personality: Kamau is somewhat shy. He prefers to sit quietly and observe a situation, try to evaluate it. He is a very sweet and loving boy. He hates seeing others in pain, especially females and pups. He thinks he would be a great father one day, if only he could find the right female to have his pups. He wants love, romance, passion. Part of him doubts he'll ever find that, things were going so well for him but now he's alone and scared without the only thing he had ever loved: his human family. He hopes to move on and start a family, have a life again. But visions of the past still haunts him...the sight of his human family dying, but mostly the sight of the boys lifeless eyes and cold touch as he passed. It has traumatized him. Most canines are glad the humans are gone now, but not him, he wishes his family was still here. Kamau fits his name quite well. He was named this by the human child, it means silent warrior, and he is indeed a silent warrior. He doesn't speak much unless he's really comfortable around somebody, and he wold fight to the death to defend the ones he cares about. He may be small, but he's ferocious and not one to be crossed. History: Before the demise of the humans, Kamau was a loved family pet. His life didn't start out to well, born into a puppy mill to a sick and dying mother. Out of his litter of three he was the only pup to survive. When he was six weeks old he was sold to a pet store, it was then that his luck would start to change. Now he had a regular meal everyday, and was kept clean for potential buyers. A man came to the store one day searching for a puppy for his seven year old son. He immediately fell in love with the little brown pup and brought him home the same day. Kamau was groomed and given a bath and a collar was put around his neck. The next day was the boys birthday, and when the father brought Kamau out as the final gift the son was overjoyed. The pup and the boy quickly became inseparable. The pup slept at the foot of the boys bed, he sat next to his chair while the boy ate his meals, he even waited outside the bathroom door when the boy had to use it. But all good things must come to an end. When he was three and a half the virus was released, it spread rapidly and there was nothing he could do but watch as his human family died, the boy was the last to go and Kamau stayed by his side the whole time with his head rested on the boys chest. Even after the boy had passed Kamau refused to leave his side for three straight days, not to eat or drink, he hardly even slept. But when it became obvious his human master, his human friend, was not going to wake he knew he needed to find a way out of the house and find some food. For days he wandered the streets, alone and disoriented. He had always been an indoor dog, only going outside to use the bathroom or when his human master was playing outside. He somehow ended up here in Criux City half a year later, and to this day he still wears the loose red collar around his neck even though he could easily slip out of it as a reminder of his past with the humans he had come to love.
