Name: Aquila. Breed: Australian Shepherd x Dalmatian. Age: Three. Gender: Female Pelt Color: Being an australian shepherd and dalmatian mix, she takes on characteristics of both breeds. Her pelt is white, and is long like an aussie, and both of her ears are a rust color, but on her rump are a few faded black spots. Eye Color: Dark brown. Markings: Rust colored ears, faded black spots on her rump. Personality: Aquila is energetic and fun loving. Her name means eagle, and it fits her well. She was always meant to fly like an eagle, to be a free spirit. Aquila prefers to sit quietly and observe whats going on rather than jump in right away. Once she gets a feel of the situation, however, she will begin to talk more. Aquila has a guarded heart, she does not let herself get close enough to somebody to fall in love. She wants to avoid heartbreak. But if the right brute comes along he would be able to get past her barricade and get into her heart. She is very affectionate and loyal, and would never betray her family, friends, or pack. She is a big softy when it comes to puppies, and she hopes to have a litter of her own one day. She doesn't care if she finds a pack to join or not, it would be nice if she could find a good pack, but if not then she is perfectly fine with the loner life. Even though that most likely means never having a litter of pups unless its by rape. History: Aquila was born into a litter of three. It was her mothers first litter, which was partly why it was such a small litter. Aquila's mother was a pure bred australian shepherd, and she was a show dog. Aquila's mother had won a few medals before, but when her human found out that she was pregnant she was not allowed to compete in shows. But her owners felt she was ruined from breeding with a dog of a different breed than she was, and a stray at that. So two weeks before she had the puppies, her owners drove several miles away and dumped her on the side of the road. They were sure they could find a much better show dog. So Aquila's mother had her litter alone and cold on a chilly spring morning. Two boys and one female were born. Aquila was somewhat of a tomboy, being raised with two brothers and no sisters. When Aquila was ten weeks old, her mother was captured by the humans, all Aquila saw of it was a white van with a logo on it that said "Criux Humane Society". So Aquila and her two brothers were left without a mother, to fend for themselves. It was a relief when Aquila turned three and the humans all vanished, died due to the virus. It had been on her third birthday that the virus hit and the humans began to die, it was like an answer to her only birthday wish. She no longer had to live in the shadows of the humans, but there was still many dangers out there she has yet to discover.
